Kate Lanphear will be interviewing Patti Smith at the Union Square Barnes & Noble on January 19th at 7PM. Patti is promoting her new book Just Kids which chronicles her intense friendship with Robert Mapplethorpe during the sixties and seventies. I don't know what will be more amusing: seeing Kate Lanphear, seeing Patti Smith, or seeing hordes of girls dressed just like them.
UPDATE: Sorry guys, I got bad info about that. Turns out that Patti will be interviewed by Katherine Lanpher, a journalist and former Air America personality with a weirdly similar name. Boo! I'm still going anyways...
