I always look forward to a new issue of Permanent Food. I mean, come on, it’s a magazine about magazines, what more could I want? Permanent Food is the creation of genius artist Maurizio Cattelan, who most recently blew my mind with The Wrong Store. Permanent Food has no offices, no staff, no website, and makes no profits. There are no articles, no ads, only pages ripped from magazines, which are then sequenced to great effect by Cattelan. Plus, it comes in it’s very own canvas tote bag, which is sure to set you apart in a sea of I’m not a plastic (barf) bags.
Permanent Food can be found at St. Marks Bookshop in Manhattan and Spoonbill & Sugartown in Brooklyn.
