Bree
Freja Beha as Jane Fonda in Klute shot by Terry Richardson for Vogue Nippon? I think I died and went to heaven.

Printed Matter
I've never seen an issue of Palais in the flesh so I can't vouch for it's quality but I absolutely love these Dynasty-themed covers. I'd go for the Krystle one.

Does anyone remember....
Jalouse USA (2001-02)? I don't know how many issues there actually were but I think that I have most of them. I will post images in the coming weeks along with other highlights from my old magazine collection. I acquired a freakish amount of magazines during high school and my parents have been kind enough to let me store them at their house. I think there are somewhere between 800 and 1,000; do I qualify for Hoarders?
Diary of a Chambermaid
It's rare that I see someone else with my exact hairstyle. Aside from a few girls that I've spotted on the street, the last person that comes to mind is Drew Barrymore's character in Scream. So I was really excited to see Eva Herzigova rocking my 'do in the new issue of Vogue Italia. I'm digging the Luis Bunuel vibe as well.

Have I told you lately that I love you? These are from the new issue of Vogue Nippon. Photos by Angelo Pennetta, styling by Sissy Vian.

Hiroko Mon Amour
Hiroko Matsumoto was a sixties model/ actress, muse to Pierre Cardin, and that is all the information that I have been able to find about her. It's also safe to say that she was one of the first asian models to find success in the western world along with Avedon muse China Machado. I couldn't find very many photos of her, unfortch. The last few images are screen captures that were originally posted here. The site is in Japanese so I have no idea what movie they are from, does anyone know? All I know is that I want her grommeted leather mini stat!

Oh how times have changed....
Isn't this hilarious? I found it in a 1948 issue of Life. Nowadays being a model may or may not involve servicing Terry Richardson; it's hard to imagine a time when deodorant ads were off the table.

Cat Fancy: Lula!
The new issue of Lula is amazing as always. I love the interviews with Yayoi Kusama and Joanna Newsom, not to mention this adorable kitten!

Mag Hag: Pop
The new issue of Pop is so fantastic. It is genuinely diverse and that is not something that you encounter very often. There are too many wonderful things to mention in a single post but my very favorite part is the Allen Jones zine that comes with the issue. Sean & Seng photographed Devon Aoki wearing sculptures that Jones created for a film that he was developing in the seventies. It was about a woman who wanted to be a model but every time someone took a photo of her she turned into a man. The solution to her dilemma was to wear a woman suit which concealed her male physique. Sadly this movie was never actually made. It drives me crazy when creative geniuses are unable to actualize their visions due to financial constraints. Especially when studios blow millions of dollars making horrible Robin Williams movies. So unfair!

Chelsea #2 Preview!
Here are a few preview images from the forthcoming issue of my magazine Chelsea. These photos were taken by my favorite collaborator and dear friend Sarah Wilmer. We shot the editorial in Humboldt County, California where me and Megan grew up. It was a truly magical shoot and I can't wait to show you the rest of story, not to mention the rest of the issue! It's coming out in spring, I will keep you guys updated!

Also, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Sarah Wilmer, Megan Hart, Nica DeMaria, Sara Long, My parents, and the (literally) dozens of other people who contributed to this shoot. I am so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life!
