Cheap Chic: Delia's!
I'm not even going to lie, I totally get excited when the new Delia's catalog in the mail. Not the same excitement like when I was 15, but I still really love playing the "if you had to buy something on each page" game and seeing the familiar face of my favorite Top Delia's Model Sarah Ruba (who is also in a band called New Look). I should actually do a separate post completely devoted to her because she is totally cute and is modeling for just about everyone now. Look for that later, now on to the Delia's picks!

Veronique Branquinho's Favorite Records
Here is a sampling of Veronique Branquinho's favorite albums from the new issue of A Magazine. I'm glad that someone enjoys The Rose soundtrack as much as I do!

People We Love: Camilla Akrans
I get giddy whenever a female fashion photographer breaks into the big leagues. No one is more deserving than Camilla Akrans, whose enchanting photographs remind me a bit of David Hamilton’s work (minus the scantily clad preteens). Akrans first landed on my radar with her dreamy Paul & Joe ads, now I can’t wait to see everything that she does.

Chloe does Chloe
Chloe Sevigny, Anja Rubik, and Clemence Posey are the faces of the new Chloe fragrance campaign, photographed by Cat Party heros Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin.

Cat Fancy #2!
I love having an excuse to look for pictures with kitties in them now! This picture is from the (big, beautiful, expensive) book Balenciaga Paris and it incorporates three of my favorite things in life: Natalia, kitties, and of course, Balenciaga! Doesn't that jacket remind you of the Iris Apfel one I posted below? Hmmm...

My New Favorite Shoes
Two creative masterminds, Christian Louboutin and David Lynch recently collaborated on a project called Fetish. I love me a good collaboration, and when I heard about this one I was immediately overcome with excitement. These shoes/photos are wonderful and sexy and whimsical and I wish I had tons of money so I could, you know, wear these shoes to the grocery store. Obviously!
Cat Fancy #1
Welcome to the first installment of Cat Fancy, an ongoing series of posts devoted to cats in fashion editorials. Because really, what could be a better accessory than a giant fluffy persian? The photos below were plucked from an eighties Paris Vogue. Unfortunately I failed to take note of the photographer, but he/she is a genius! If I had actually graduated high school (Thank you, G.E.D!) I would have wanted my yearbook photo to look exactly like these! So cheeseball!
Get Your Drink on with Viktor & Rolf!
I am a total sucker for anything Viktor & Rolf related, especially alcohol! The Dutch duo has created their very own limited edition wine, Piper-Heidsieck Rosé Sauvage by Viktor & Rolf, which sells for $90. Someone send us a case stat!

Book Club: Rare Bird of Fashion
So I guess I should start this post by apologizing for my severe lack of blogging lately. It is really inexcusable! But I'm back now! And I would like to share with you some of my favorite pages from this great book I just got: Rare Bird of Fashion: The Irreverent Iris Apfel. Iris Apfel had, and still does have, the greatest style and way of mixing and matching totally different things. But I will keep my intro short and sweet and let the pictures speak for themselves!
Left: Dior Haute Couture jacket (2000), Yves Saint Laurent Trousers (1989), Qing Dynasty chest ornament. Right: Lanvin Haute Couture cocoon wrap (1983), Navajo necklaces (1930s), Romeo Gigli Shoes (1980s).
Left: Oscar De La Renta jacket (2000.) Right: Tunisian tunic, Givenchy necklaces (1970s.)
Left: 19th Century Indan necklace. Right: 1970s Nepalese cape, Gianfranco Ferre skirt.
Flea Marke find circa 2000. I wonder if Moschino got inspiration from this for their doggie purse!?
Left: Jean Paul Gaultier jumpsuit (1990), Belt made by Iris Apfel with South American tin fish. Right: Normal Norell coat (1962), Kenzo boots (1990.)

Some news...
-Topshop is finally coming to New York! The British retailer is opening it’s first store in at 478 Broadway in Soho (where super crappy Yellow Rat Bastard is currently located). Yes!

-Tara Subkoff has sold Imitation of Christ and will no longer be designing for the label. Her replacement is Kasia Bilinski, who is also working with Subkoff on a new diffusion line called Imitation. Lastly, Subkoff is designing a collection for the skanktastic juniors chain Bebe. Weird.
